PSHE

At Snodland CEP School, we recognise and value the importance that PSHE has on our children’s lives and futures. We believe that PSHE in our school prepares children with the knowledge and skills to prepare them for opportunities they may experience, now and in the future, to make safe and informed decisions, including an understanding of risk.

We follow the Jigsaw framework which provides opportunities for children to develop their emotional and literacy skills, as well as their emotional well-being and mental health; thereby enhancing their life-chances. The mindfulness approach enables children to take part in discussions with their peers, as well as self-reflections to support their self-esteem, resilience and attitudes to learning, and life. Children across the school access high quality PSHE lessons weekly, which are tailored to suit the needs of all our children.

Over the course of the year, pupils will engage with the following themes:

Children also access their own PSHE journal within their lessons to evidence their learning, thoughts and reflections from their lessons. Look at some of these fantastic examples!
