Forest School Progression

We are very lucky to have space in our school grounds for a large Forest School area, where children lead their own learning in the midst of nature.  They love having the freedom to build, climb, dig and explore; they enjoy working together to create shelters, zip-lines, rope swings; they are fascinated by nature, investigating wildlife of all shapes and sizes. 

All of our pupils start Forest School sessions in Foundation Stage and continue them throughout their time at our school in order to build a whole range of skills and attitudes:

Our Forest School sessions are always led by one of our two qualified Forest School practitioners, Miss Dance and Mr Legg, and supported by class teachers and teaching assistants.
